July 2009 — Dr. Brett Lukert, D.C., has earned the designation of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist?(CSCS? by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). The CSCS program was created to identify individuals who possess the knowledge and skills to design and implement safe and effective strength and conditioning programs for athletes and those interested in better fitness. The credentialing program encourages a higher level of competence among practitioners and raises the quality of strength training and conditioning programs provided by those who are CSCS certified. Certified individuals have a diverse academic and professional background, including strength coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, personal trainers, physicians, chiropractors, researchers and educators.

As a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Dr. Lukert is trained to apply scientific knowledge for training individuals with the primary goal of improving athletic performance. Using this training, Dr. Lukert conducts sport-specific testing sessions; designs and implements safe and effective strength training and conditioning programs; and provides guidance for nutrition and injury prevention. Dr. Lukert, who is also a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician?(CCSP?, felt that he needed this certification in order to develop more comprehensive rehabilitation, strength, nutrition counseling, and overall conditioning programs for individuals.

"I enjoy working with anyone looking to improve performance and health," said Dr. Lukert. "Getting in better shape is the easy part. Staying in shape is the real challenge, which is what makes each treatment plan unique and rewarding."

The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) (www.nsca-cc.org) is an international nonprofit educational association, serving nearly 30,000 members in 52 countries. Drawing upon its vast network of members, the NSCA develops and presents the most advanced information regarding strength training and conditioning practices, injury prevention, and research findings. The CSCS is the only strength training and conditioning certification to be nationally accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA), and only 21,000 professionals hold this prestigious designation.

Now Offering Spinal Decompression Therapy

August 2008 — More than 14 million office visits for back pain are reported annually. It’s the second most frequent reason that people visit their doctors. Treatment options usually include rest, pain medications, and physical therapy. Chronic sufferers looking for help often hear there are only two real paths…live with the pain or undergo surgery.

Lukert Chiropractic & Wellness now offers a new alternative for pain. Spinal Decompression Therapy is a non-invasive procedure which offers not only pain relief, but also long-term results for many of the typical causes of back pain. Spinal Decompression Therapy uses FDA-cleared equipment, manufactured by the world’s leading manufacturer of therapeutic rehabilitative equipment. Through proper positioning, protocol and technique, the distractive forces of this system create decompression in the discs. The results of which include imbibing of the discs with blood and vital nutrients, as well as a likely reduction in pain.

Dr. Brett Lukert, DC, said, “This approach safely and comfortably treats the low back (lumbar) or neck (cervical) pain…without surgery. Back pain sufferers with bulging, herniated discs, sciatica (pain shooting down a person’s legs), and other degenerative disc conditions have an alternative to surgery." Five Star Quality Service Award

April 2007 — Lukert Chiropractic & Wellness in Sabetha was honored with Integrity Management’s prestigious Five Star Quality Service Award.

The Five Star Quality Service Award was developed by Integrity Management as a means of promoting and publicizing superior chiropractic clinics that excel in patient treatment, customer service and professionalism. Clinics must go through an extensive examination and are graded on things such as punctuality, patient communication, equipment, the quality of services provided and patient satisfaction in order to qualify for the award. The Five Star Quality Service Award was established to provide a uniform grading system that rates quality in chiropractic clinics across the country. Just as five star hotels are synonymous with quality service, five star clinics ensure patients they will receive quality care.

Lukert Chiropractic & Wellness was one of only a few clinics chosen among chiropractic clinics across the country to receive this distinction.

“The Five Star Quality Service Award is a great honor,” said Integrity Management’s CEO, Keith Maule. “We established strict criteria to qualify for this award and Lukert Chiropractic & Wellness excelled in every area. They are a great example to look to for quality care.
